Custom ASA Compounds
Custom ASA Compounds for Outdoor & Application-Specific Requirements
ASA-based compounds developed per project for outdoor exposure, weatherability, appearance, processing and application-specific performance.

What ASA Compounds Offer
YicaiPlas develops ASA-based compounds evaluated for each project. The finished compound combines the ASA base with weathering stabilizers, modifiers and color according to application, exposure environment and performance requirements before recommendation.
ASA-based compounds are sometimes referenced historically as "ASA alloy". YicaiPlas develops ASA compounds per project specifications rather than a fixed alloy grade catalog. Formulation selection is confirmed per application, not as a predefined alloy composition.
Unlike masterbatch (an additive added to base resin), the ASA compound is the finished material, ready for molding.
Performance Requirements We Can Evaluate
Performance is evaluated per project. Fixed specifications are not publicly available.
Outdoor Exposure & Weathering
Weathering requirements assessed according to location, solar intensity, temperature and exposure duration of the project.
Mechanical Performance
Stiffness, strength and impact reviewed for the intended end-use environment and part requirements.
Impact / Stiffness Balance
Impact-to-stiffness balance adjusted according to part function and service conditions.
Appearance & Color
Color stability and surface finish reviewed per application and outdoor exposure.
Dimensional Requirements
Dimensional behavior and shrinkage considered during formulation development.
Processing Requirements
Melt flow, processing window and molding method assessed per part and application.
Material & Formulation Selection Factors
Formulation is confirmed per project. Selection depends on application environment, exposure, part geometry and end-use requirements.
Factors considered: application environment, part design, outdoor exposure, appearance requirements, mechanical requirements, processing method, color requirements and project validation criteria.
Processing & Part Design Considerations
Processing and part design are discussed per project to support molding quality and consistency.
Injection molding and extrusion where applicable
Melt flow and cavity filling
Part geometry and wall thickness
Shrinkage and dimensional behavior
Surface appearance and quality
Color stability through molding
